Congratulations to Ken on completing QELA course

East Coast Surveys congratulates our Senior Planner Ken Burmeister. Ken has been with East Coast Surveys for 4 years and has played an important role in heading up our town planning arm. Over this time Ken has brought greater diversity to our small business allowing us to offer a more comprehensive range of planning services including RiskSMART with Brisbane City Council.

Earlier this year Ken also completed the Queensland Environmental Law Association’s Expert Witness course. This course has limited attendance when it is offered and we are pleased that Ken was able to attend.

This training was put to immediate good use with Ken being called on by a client to appear in court over an infrastructure matter that was appealed to the Planning and Environment Court (BD1202 of 2009). This matter was successfully settled with council by private negotiation just before a judgement was to be given.
